1978 Bally Playboy Pinball Machine

This particular game is in decent condition. The playfield is fairly worn down much like other Ballys of this vintage, but it doesn't affect game play in any way, and has been cleaned and polished as best as possible. There is a company making new playfield overlays for this game now, so with just a bit more work this game could be excellent!

It also has brand new pop bumper caps and a brand new coin door sticker! There are tons of new parts on this game! The plastics are very decent, with one slightshot cover broken, but everything else intact. The flippers are nice and strong after a complete rebuild!

Some of the things I do when cleaning a game include:

  • All new pinball
  • Replace all burned out lamps
  • Replace broken flashers
  • Replace or fix broken playfield devices
  • Clean entire playfield
  • Remove and clean all plastics by hand
  • Polish metal parts
  • Adjust all switches
  • Replace worn-out rubber
  • Clean entire cabinet
  • Clean backglass, back and front
  • Touch up paint where possible
  • Replace batteries on CPU
  • Install latest software revision
  • Extensively playtest the game to make sure it's fully working! (The best part!)

    The backglass on this game is excellent, with no marks or scratches, and it has been sealed on the back to prevent any future wear! The cabinet sides are excellent but they appear to have been repainted in the past. The displays are all nice and bright, almost brand new! No burn-in! The head is excellent with only small marks or nicks and one small bit of wood missing from the front, which has been painted over. The front is very nice, with no hasp holes! Very rare to find a game with no hasp holes!

    In addition, this game has been completely gone over top to bottom and had all the known problem areas fixed, and all the electronics have not only been tuned up, but have had high-wear items replaced with stronger, more expensive components! You won't find many Bally games as well bullet-proofed as this one, ready to deliver many more years of trouble-free service! It also includes a manual!

    Here are lots of pictures to show the condition of this game (sorry if some of them are a bit washed out due to the flash - playfield is very shiny!!!)

    I ship games via Internet Freight and charges generally run in the $200-$300 range depending on location. There is a $60 charge for the palletizing and wrapping of the game for shipping to cover materials. I will gladly ship the game any way you choose, but Internet is generally 20-30% cheaper than other carriers!
